Aesthetic correction and restoration of proper bite function
This case of aesthetic smile correction combined with the restoration of proper bite function was made possible through the multidisciplinary collaboration of our team.
We began by replacing the missing posterior teeth with dental implants. At the same time, several teeth underwent endodontic re-treatment to eliminate existing inflammation. The next step was the use of an occlusal splint to prepare for the reconstruction of the vertical dimension. In the final stage, zirconia and ceramic crowns were placed on the implants, while composite bonding completed the aesthetics of the anterior region.
Unhappy with the shade of his enamel, the patient chose in-chair whitening with the Beyond system. This technology uses an advanced light filtration system that eliminates harmful UV and infrared radiation.
As a result, the procedure is completely safe and comfortable. After around 60 minutes in the dental chair, a noticeably brighter result was achieved, restoring a healthy appearance to the teeth.
This aesthetic smile correction was carried out immediately after the removal of fixed braces.
First, the enamel surface was cleaned of any remaining adhesive, and a gingivoplasty was then performed. This procedure involved adjusting the gum level above the lateral incisor so that its length matched the corresponding tooth on the left side.
Finally, the shape of the lateral incisors and canines was refined using composite bonding.
An aesthetic correction of white demineralisation spots on the smooth surfaces of the teeth was carried out. Importantly, the procedure was performed without any drilling — the enamel was treated using resin infiltration with ICON.
It's worth noting that the visible decalcifications were the result of insufficient oral hygiene during previous fixed-braces treatment.
This complex malocclusion was treated using fixed metal braces. The upper incisors, which were excessively tilted forwards, had to be uprighted in order to achieve a correct and aesthetically pleasing exposure in the smile.
The shape of the dental arches was also corrected, existing spaces were closed, and stable occlusal contacts between the upper and lower jaw were ultimately achieved.
Once the orthodontic treatment was complete, whitening was performed, followed by composite bonding in the lighter shade chosen by the patient.
This orthodontic treatment was carried out with fixed metal braces. Initially, the patient presented with significant crowding and an incorrect relationship between the upper and lower teeth.
Thanks to the use of precise brackets and orthodontic archwires, it was possible to gradually and carefully move the teeth into their proper positions. As a result, this smile transformation concluded with full alignment, correct occlusal contacts and an aesthetically balanced smile line.

As the final stage of the transformation, composite bonding was then carried out. This was necessary due to discrepancies in the shape and width proportions of the anterior teeth.
This smile transformation was achieved through orthodontic treatment with the Invisalign clear aligner system in the Moderate package. The process involved wearing a series of custom-designed aligners made from a biocompatible material.
Due to the existing dental crowding, the treatment plan included precise arch expansion and rotation of the teeth into the desired positions. The final result: proper interdental contacts and an aesthetic alignment of the incisors.

Once the active movement phase and bite stabilisation were complete, a whitening procedure was performed. The Beyond lamp made it possible to brighten the enamel quickly and safely. The result of the treatment was a perfect synergy — beautifully straight teeth in a bright new shade.
