Our Dental Offer

When is it worth considering bonding or veneers?

Aesthetic treatments, such as veneers or bonding, are an effective and permanent solution for the correction of minor dental imperfections. They make it possible not only to improve the aesthetics of the smile, but also to restore the harmonious proportion of the teeth and their functionality.

We particularly recommend them to patients who struggle with:

  • Gaps between teeth (diastemas and black triangles) - small spaces between teeth can be closed aesthetically, maintaining the natural appearance of the dental arch.
  • Abnormal tooth shape - Fine, conical, chipped or asymmetrical teeth can be accurately restored, restoring a harmonious smile contour.
  • Persistent discolouration - stubborn colour changes that cannot be removed by bleaching methods can be aesthetically masked.
  • Tooth wear - loss of crown height as a result of ageing tissues or the habit of grinding teeth can be corrected, restoring the normal function and proportions of the dental arch.
    •

Bonding and veneers combine high aesthetics, precision craftsmanship and biosafety to offer patients the long-lasting effect of a natural, healthy smile.

Bonding is a quick, non-invasive and painless method of improving the aesthetics of the smile, the effect of which is visible immediately after the procedure. The procedure does not interfere with the structure of the tooth, thus preserving the health of its tissues.

The tooth bonding process consists of the following stages:

  1. Color selection - the precise shade match of the composite material ensures a harmonious bond to the natural tooth enamel.

  2. Preparation of the tooth surface - Gentle cleaning and, if necessary, light matting of the enamel for optimal bonding of the composite.

  3. Application of bonding agent - allows a permanent bonding of the composite material to the tooth tissue.

  4. Composite modelling - makes it possible to recreate the natural shape and proportions of the teeth, individually adapted to the patient's smile.

  5. Light curing - fast and effective curing of the material in seconds.

  6. Smoothing and polishing - giving the surface a final shine and a natural appearance for a harmonious aesthetic effect.

Bonding combines precision craftsmanship, biological safety and an immediate aesthetic effect, providing the perfect solution for patients looking to quickly improve the appearance of their smile without interfering with the tooth structure.

A veneer is a thin, custom-made shell of porcelain or composite material that the dentist permanently attaches to the front surface of the tooth. Its primary task is to correct any aesthetic imperfections - from unwanted colour, to uneven tooth shape, to minor bite defects and smile asymmetries.

The procedure for placing veneers is minimally invasive, which means that during the procedure, as much healthy tooth tissue as possible is spared, maintaining the integrity and functionality of the tooth. Veneers allow you to subtly improve the proportion, length and contour of your teeth, while maintaining the natural appearance of your dentition.

Thanks to the use of modern technology, precise diagnostics and top-quality materials, veneers are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. Porcelain is characterised by its high translucency and resistance to discolouration, while composite veneers allow the aesthetics of the smile to be corrected quickly and safely with full control over shape and colour.

Veneers therefore provide a solution that combines aesthetics, durability and biological safety, allowing patients to enjoy a natural, harmonious and dazzling smile for many years.

Bonding or veneers - which to choose?

It depends on the desired effect and the condition of your teeth. First and foremost, bonding is faster and less expensive as it involves the manual restoration of the tooth with composite, making it ideal for minor corrections (e.g. closing a gap, chipping). Porcelain veneers, on the other hand, are more durable and give a more spectacular "Hollywood smile" effect, but require more interference with the tooth. Therefore, the best solution will be chosen by the doctor during the consultation.

What is the difference between composite and porcelain veneers?

The difference is mainly in terms of durability and aesthetics. A composite veneer is made directly in the office (similar to bonding) and is a cheaper option, but can discolour over time. A porcelain veneer, on the other hand, is created in a prosthetic laboratory and is much more durable. As a result, it perfectly mimics natural enamel and is resistant to discolouration, giving an effect that lasts for many years.

Does bonding damage teeth?

No. Bonding is considered a minimally invasive method. As the composite material bonds to the enamel adhesively, there is usually no need to drill into the tooth. Therefore, it is a reversible procedure and safe for the tooth structure.

Can veneers fall off?

Properly cemented veneers are extremely firmly bonded to the tooth. Although it happens very rarely, detachment is possible as a result of mechanical trauma (e.g. biting on very hard things). It is worth mentioning, however, that with proper care, veneers serve patients for decades.
