Our Orthodontic Offer

Invisalign

Invisalign is a state-of-the-art method of malocclusion correction using individually fitted, clear aligners. This makes it a popular alternative to traditional braces.

Key features of Invisalign treatment
  • Discretion: The aligners are almost invisible, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing appearance throughout the treatment period.

  • Convenience: The appliance is removable. This makes everyday eating and maintaining oral hygiene (brushing teeth and cleaning aligners) much easier.

  • Comfort: The absence of metal components, such as brackets and wires, minimizes the risk of irritation.

Fixed Braces

Fixed (metal) braces are a proven method of orthodontic treatment used by orthodontists to correct malocclusions in children, adolescents, and adults. The braces consist of metal brackets (bonded to the teeth) and an archwire that exerts a constant, controlled force to align the teeth into their correct positions.

Key features of fixed metal braces:
  • Precision: They enable the orthodontist to closely monitor and control the treatment process.

  • Widespread use: They allow for the correction of many, including complex, malocclusions.

  • Durability: The high quality of the materials ensures the durability of the braces throughout the entire treatment period.

Removable Appliances

Removable appliances (braces) are used by orthodontists primarily in the orthodontic treatment of children and adolescents, usually during the period of primary and mixed dentition (during the growth phase). Their main task is to stimulate the proper development of the jawbones and correct minor dental abnormalities. Removable appliances are often the first stage of treatment, preparing the patient for possible later treatment with fixed braces.

Key features of removable appliances:
  •  Early intervention: They allow the correction of malocclusions at an early stage of a child's development.

  • Individual fitting: Each appliance is custom-designed and made based on impressions or scans taken by the orthodontist on-site at our clinic in Warsaw.

  • Facilitated hygiene: The ability to remove the braces allows for thorough tooth brushing and cleaning of the appliance itself, making it easier to maintain excellent oral hygiene.

Aesthetic Braces

Aesthetic fixed braces (also called cosmetic braces) are a solution for patients looking for a discreet method of malocclusion correction with fixed appliances. They work on the exact same principle as traditional metal braces, but are much less visible on the teeth thanks to the materials used.

  • Ceramic braces: They feature milky-colored brackets that closely match the natural shade of the teeth.

  • Sapphire (crystal) braces: Their brackets are fully transparent, adapting perfectly to the color of the patient's enamel.

Key features of aesthetic braces:
  • Discreet design: They are significantly less noticeable than metal braces.

  • Precision of treatment: They combine aesthetic advantages with the precision and effectiveness of traditional fixed braces.

  • Application: They allow for the correction of many, including complex, malocclusions.

Microimplants in Orthodontics

In the treatment of advanced malocclusions at our clinic, orthodontists use orthodontic micro-implants (TADs). These are small screws temporarily placed in the bone. In practice, they serve as a stable anchorage for difficult orthodontic movements.

The use of micro-implants:
  • Beneslider appliance: Uses micro-implants to precisely move molars backwards (distalization) or forwards (mesialization).

  • Hyrax appliance on micro-implants (MARPE): Used for the skeletal expansion of the maxilla. It is an extremely effective solution for treating transverse discrepancies (e.g., crossbites).

Key features of treatment with micro-implants:
  • High precision: Micro-implants allow the precise movement of only selected teeth, without undesirable effects on the position of others.

  • Extraction can be avoided: By precisely creating space in the arch, treatment with micro-implants often avoids the need to extract healthy permanent teeth.

  • Efficacy in adults: These methods allow for the correction of skeletal defects (e.g., jaw widening) even in patients whose bone growth has already finished.

  • Safety and temporariness: Micro-implants are made of biocompatible titanium or surgical steel and are completely safe for the body. Their insertion is a quick, minimally invasive procedure.

What is the cost of orthodontic treatment in Warsaw?

The cost of the first orthodontic consultation is PLN 280. Detailed prices for individual services and treatments (e.g. diagnostic X-ray, fitting of braces, follow-up appointments) are shown in our price list. Please note that the total cost of orthodontic treatment is always determined individually. It depends on the complexity of the malocclusion, the selected treatment method (e.g. fixed metal braces, aesthetic braces, Invisalign trays) and the expected duration of the treatment. A precise, full cost estimate is provided to the patient after consultation and full diagnostics, together with a presentation of the individual treatment plan.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

The duration of treatment is an individual matter. On average, active treatment with fixed braces lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 years. In the case of overlay treatment or correction of smaller defects, this time may vary. The patient's regularity and compliance with follow-up appointments are crucial to the success of the treatment.

At what age is it best to start orthodontic treatment?

It is never too late for orthodontic treatment. We treat both children (so-called early treatment, often with removable braces) and adolescents and adult patients. In the case of adults, we often use discreet solutions such as aesthetic braces or clear trays. We recommend that the first orthodontic consultation for a child takes place at around 6-7 years of age to assess the development of occlusion.

What does the first visit to the orthodontist at our clinic in Warsaw look like?

The first visit to the orthodontist at our clinic in Warsaw is a consultation, during which the orthodontist carries out a detailed examination of the mouth and assesses the malocclusion. This is the time to discuss the patient's expectations. In order to precisely plan the treatment, it is necessary to perform a full diagnostics - in our clinic in Warsaw, we have modern X-ray equipment (pantomogram, cephalometry, tomography), which allows for all the examinations to be performed on site. Based on the diagnostics, the doctor presents an individual treatment plan.

How does Invisalign overlay treatment differ from fixed braces?

The main difference is that the trays are removable - the patient can take them off to eat and brush their teeth, which makes hygiene very easy. They are also almost invisible. Fixed braces are bonded to the teeth for the entire treatment period. However, the overlays require a great deal of self-discipline on the part of the patient (they must be worn approximately 22h a day). Fixed braces give the orthodontist full control over the treatment process 24/7 and are effective in treating more complex defects.

How often do I have follow-up appointments with my orthodontist?

The frequency of visits to the orthodontist depends on the type of braces and the stage of treatment. In the case of fixed braces, follow-up visits (activation visits, involving e.g. replacement of arches or ligatures) usually take place every 4-8 weeks. For overlay treatment, visits may be less frequent (e.g. every 8-12 weeks), depending on the treatment plan.
